DRDO Research Associate Recruitment 2024: Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL) under the aegis of Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Govt of India is engaged in the R&D activities with an objective to cater to the food requirements of the Armed Forces deployed at extreme environmental conditions. DRDO has released a notification for the recruitment of DFRL Fellowship –Research Associate.

Applications are invited from young, meritorious and motivated candidates of Indian Nationals for the post of DRDO Research Associate (RA) to work in ongoing and future research projects of DFRL, Mysore

Educational Qualification for DRDO Research Associate Recruitment:

Ph.D in Food Processing Engineering / Food Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering

or

M.Tech in Food Processing Engineering / Food Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering with 3 years of research experience with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal

Desirable : Preference will be given to those who have experience in computational modelling and simulation in Food Engineering and Process Optimization

Age Limit:

UPPER AGE LIMIT : 35 years for RA as on last date of receipt of application (Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC as per Govt. rules).

Stipend Amount:

Monthly Stipend is Rs. 67,000/- + HRA as per DRDO rules.

GUIDELINES:

• The tenure of Research Associate is only for 2 (Two) years
• Qualification for the above post will be determined as on last date of receipt of application.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS for DRDO Research Associate Recruitment:

1. Candidates who are not meeting the above mentioned qualification need not to apply
2. Candidates working in Govt./Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Bodies should submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) along with application.
3. Candidates need to produce their suitable documents for proof of Caste, Age, Education Qualification/NET/GATE and NOC (wherever applicable) along with Passport size photograph, failing which, the application will be rejected.
4. Application form appended in this advertisement may be typed and submitted along with copies of testimonials/documents (as mentioned in the Para 3) to the Director, Defence Food Research Laboratory,Siddhartha Nagar, Mysore-570011 through Speed post only. Applications sent through courier will not be received and accepted. The envelope containing the applications may be super-scribed as Recruitment of Research Associate.
5. Candidate will have to mention the Position and Subject for which he appears/applied
6. Antecedent of selected candidates will be verified at the time of joining, if selected.
7. Admission shall not be claimed by any candidate as a matter of right. The admission shall be entirely at the discretion of the Selection Committee of the Laboratory which may refuse to admit any candidate without assigning any reason thereof.
8. It may please be noted that offer of Fellowship does not confer on Fellows any right of absorption in DRDO.
9. Short-listed candidates shall be called for written test/interview at Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore. Information will be sent through e-mail/speed post to the shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
10. Candidates may bring project report/technical work demo in support of their candidature.
