Application Procedure for the Recruitment of DRDO Apprentice:

- Before applying, the candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the advertisement.
- Candidates for Graduate Apprentice (B.E / B.Tech) and Technician Apprentice (Diploma) are required to register in National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal https://nats.education.gov.in , non-registered candidates are likely to be rejected.
- For downloading applications form, candidates are advised to visit website link: https://drdo.gov.in. Candidates are requested to fill up correct details against all the fields along with uploading of scanned copies of all the mandatory documents.
- Candidates with B.E / B.Tech /Diploma may send their application directly to email [email protected] in the given application format as Annexure ‘A’.
- Candidates are required to bring a signed printout of the application along with the originals of the documents submitted online at the time of joining at CHESS, Hyderabad.
- Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS categories will be applicable as per provision of Apprentice Act 1961, Apprentice Rules, 1992 and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules, 2015.
- Last date for the receipt of application: 21 days from the date of advertisement in Employment News. Online Applications after the last date would not be accepted. Incomplete or partially filled application forms would not be accepted.
Terms & Conditions for Selection Procedure:
What is the selection procedure for the engagement of DRDO Apprentices –in detail below;
- Selection will be made on the basis of Percentage of mark secured by candidates at essential qualification level OR Personal Interview through Video Conferencing (Virtual) mode for shortlisted candidates only.
- Only fresh pass-out candidates (passing their respective courses in 2021, 2022 & 2023) can apply. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination earlier then 2021 are not eligible.
- Candidates with post-graduate qualifications are not eligible to apply.
- Those candidates who have completed the qualify examination as regular candidates are only eligible to apply.
- Degree / Diploma holders, who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more after attaining the essential qualification, shall NOT be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the Act.
- The period of training will be 12 months commencing from execution of the contract of Apprenticeship.
- Applications belonging to SC, ST, OBC, EWS shall produce certificates in prescribed format issued by the competent authority.
- Selected candidates have to submit the ‘Medical Fitness Certificate’ at the time of joining.
- Verification of credentials shall be done for selected candidates prior to creation of contract only and incase of any deviation from or non-conformity with the desired qualification; candidature of the candidate shall be summarily rejected.
- No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants called at any stage of the selection process.
- Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of candidature.
- Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage of the selection process.
- CHESS reserve the right to increase/decrease the number of seats for apprenticeship training.
- CHESS reserve the right to withdraw/cancel the advertisement/selection process.
- The apprentices will not be provided any quarters/hostel accommodations/transport by this establishment during the training period.
