ISRO VSSC Recruitment 2024: Government of India, Department of Space, VIKRAM SARABHAI SPACE CENTRE, India Space Research Organization, and Department of Space has released a notification for the recruitment of Apprentice Trainees. Selection Drive of Apprentice Trainees (B.E./ B.Tech./ Hotel Management and Diploma in Engineering/ Diploma in Commercial Practice) for 2023-2024.

Applications are invited from candidates for selection as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act,1961 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), for filling up the remaining vacancies of the training year 2023-2024.

The details of no. of positions and relevant qualifications are as follows:

For Graduate Apprentice:

• Electronics Engg.
• Mechanical Engg.
• Metallurgy
• Hotel Management/ Catering Technology
• General Stream (Non-Engineering) Graduates

For Technician Apprentice:

• Mechanical Engg.
• Commercial Practice

Eligibility Criteria for ISRO VSSC Recruitment:

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification:

What are the educational qualification for the recruitment of VSSC –in detail below;

For Graduate Apprentice:

• Essential Qualifications acquired from a recognised University /State Board of Technical Education coming under the Southern Region of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry).
• Engg. Degree’ [4 yrs/3 years duration (for lateral entry)] granted by a recognised University in the respective field with not less than 65% marks/6.84 CGPA. (Conversion of CGPA into %ge is not permitted to determine eligibility).
• First Class Degree (4 year) in Hotel Management/ Catering Technology (AICTE approved) with not less than 60% marks.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Three-year duration) granted by a recognised University with not less than 60% marks/6.32 CGPA. (Conversion of CGPA into % not permitted to determine eligibility).

For Technician Apprentice:

• Essential Qualifications acquired from a recognised State Board of Technical Education conning under the Southern Region of Board of Apprenticeship Training (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry).
• First Class Diploma in Engg. (three years duration) awarded by a State Board of Technical Education in Mechanical Engg.
• Three Year Diploma in Commercial Practice (DCP) with Shorthand & Typewriting as Main/Electives from a recognised Polytechnic under State Council/Board of Technical Education established by State Govt/University with not less than 60% marks/6.32 CGPA. (Conversion of CGPA into %ge is not permitted to determine eligibility).

Stipend Amount:

The duration of training will be one year from the date of joining and the stipend is ^ 9000/- for Graduate Apprentice and ? 8000/- for Technician Apprentice per month.

Application Procedure for the Recruitment of VSSC ISRO:

How to apply for the recruitment of VSSC ISRO –in detail below;

Candidates have to register online in the Ministry of Education NATS 2.0 portal, through the website www.nats.education.gov.in, and bring the Registration No. and the printout while attending the Selection drive.

Candidates have to visit the VSSC pavilion on 08.05.2024 at the aforesaid venue along with ORIGINAL Documents and self-attested copies of B.E/B.Tech/BHM/Diploma Certificate (Provisional/Final), Consolidated Marklist, proof of date of birth (SSLC/SSC/AISSE/ICSE), Caste/Community certificate (if belongs to SC/ST), Non-Creamy layer certificate (if belongs to OBC), Income & Asset Certificate issued by Tahsildar in the format prescribed by Govt, of India order, 2019 for the financial year 2024-25 (if belongs to EWS), Valid Disability certificate (if PWBD candidate), Experience Certificate (if any) and one passport size photograph. Formats of Non-Creamy layer certificate (for OBC) and Income & Asset Certificate (for EWS) are attached as Annexure 1 and Annexure 2 respectively.

The selection will be based on the highest marks scored by the candidates in the relevant examination and with due weightage to reservation categories.

The induction of apprentices against the 2023-24 vacant training positions shall be strictly based on the position of the candidate in the panel subject to availability of vacancies and validity of the panel.
