SHS Bihar CHO Eligibility Criteria 2024
Eligibility criteria for the Community Health Officer at Health & Wellness Centre under the NHM Bihar in terms of educational qualification and age limit are available below.
Education Qualification:
- Applicants must possess a B.Sc. in Nursing or a basic B.Sc. (Nursing) degree, completing a six-month integrated curriculum of CCH from a recognized institute or university from 2020 onwards.
- Alternatively, completion of CCH through IGNOU or other specified institutions is accepted.
Age Limit:
- A minimum age of 21 years is required, the maximum age limit varies based on gender and category, ranging from 42 to 47 years as of January 1, 2024, check upper age details from below:
- UR(M) & EWS(M): 42 years
- UR(F) & EWS(F): 45 years
- BC & EBC (M & F): 45 years
- SC & ST (M & F): 47 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability are eligible for a 10-year age relaxation, while departmental candidates may receive up to 5 years of relaxation, provided they meet the minimum eligibility requirements

SHSB CHO Application Fee 2024
To apply for recruitment as a CHO at the Health & Wellness Centre under the NHM, Bihar, a male candidate who belongs to UR, EWS, BC or EBC must pay the required amount of ₹500/-.
Female applicants from any category, SC/ST male aspirants will have to pay only ₹100/- using one of the provided payment methods by the deadline of fee submission.
